Reserve

Four floors a year. Designed start to finish with the owner. Reserved for a home that wants a floor that exists exactly once.

Inquire about a commission

Every Lambright floor is built to last generations.

Our Reserve floors go further — a handful each year, designed one-on-one with the owner, with colors and patterns reserved for a single home and never used again. Not a better floor. The fullest expression of the same craft.

We reserve four a year. That's the whole point.

A Reserve floor isn't ordered from a catalog. It's commissioned — designed with you, over months, from the standing timber to the signed final board. That attention can't be scaled, and we don't try to. When the year is full, it's full.

The Process

How a Reserve floor is made

01

Discovery

We sit down together — you, your designer, and the owner of the company — to understand the home, the vision, and the story you want the floor to tell.

02

Sourcing

We choose the species and, when we can, the actual lumber your floor will come from. Where it grew becomes part of its record.

03

Design

Patterns, textures, inlays, a custom stair system, and a color developed for your home alone — then reserved, so it's never used again.

04

The Build

Milled and built at our bench in Charlotte, Michigan, by the same hands that have made Lambright floors since 1964.

05

Installation & Signing

Installed, then signed and dated by the owner. The color created for your home is retired. What's left is yours, and only yours.

What You Keep

The Reserve Record

Every Reserve floor comes with a documented account of its making — where the timber came from, the design decisions behind it, the color reserved for your home, and the owner's signature.

A floor people will ask about. And a record so you can tell them exactly where it came from.

The Invitation

Begin a conversation

A Reserve floor starts with a conversation, not a quote. Tell us about the home and what you have in mind, and we'll talk about whether a commission is the right fit — and which year is open.
